The tree is known by his fruits
Christ said "the tree is known by his fruits" (Matthew 12:33). How true this statement is. The character of a man is known by how he lives his life. The character of a woman is known by how she lives her life. As I was reading this verse in my morning scripture study, it taught me the importance of being true to yourself at all times.
Preach My Gospel states... "What you choose to think and do when you are alone and you believe no one is watching is a strong measure of your virtue." On a funny note I've found that... How you choose to drive when you're by yourself in your car is a strong measure of how patient you are. Haha. Funny but I think very true!
Finally I wanted to share a poem. Not sure who the author is, so if one of you knows please comment on this post.
"You tell on yourself by the friends you seek,
By the very manner in which you speak,
By the way you employ your leisure time,
By the use you make of dollar & dime;
You tell what you are by the things you wear,
And even by the way you wear your hair,
You tell what you are by the way you walk,
By the things of which you delight to talk,
By the manner in which you bury deceit,
By so simple a thing as how you eat.
By the books you choose from the well-filled shelf;
In these ways & more you tell on yourself."
Let us each make the world a better place and “tell on ourselves” through sharing our inner light. The greatest sermon we can ever give is through quiet acts of service to others. These are the sweetest fruits of all. Fruits that will give healing and enlightenment to those around us. ☀️ 🍎
